Each spring since 1986 thousands of visitor come to Belle Plains, KS to celebrate the annual Tulip Festival. The chamber has planted over 6000 tulips downtown with many more tulips & spring flowers at the Bartlett Arboretum. The arboretum was begun in 1910 by Dr. Bartlett who had a vision to transform 15 acres on the edge of town. The Arboretum is now owned and run by Robin Macy singer and founding member of the Dixie Chicks. She promotes “Art at the ARB” in conjunction with the tulip festive and brings to Belle Plaines a network of exceptional Music Friends. The festival also includes live entertainment on stage and a car show featuring over 100 entrees, great food, crafts and much more. Close to Belle Plaines is Mulvane, KS home of Wyldewood Cellars. A family owned business internationally known for award winning elderberry wine, premium country wines and food products made with native fruits and berries. Taste the wine and sample delicious gourmet jellies, syrups, fruits, home made fudges and more. We are still in the planning stage on this but we’ll be overnighting in Wichita and including some of their exciting new attractions as well as some along the way – Keep Posted! Full brochures available at August 25, travel show or call for full detailed brochure.
