Join Peter Newman, host of KNBC Moneyline on this exciting 21st annual
financial cruise to the British Isles. Enjoy a magical journey, filled with
castles, legends and history that are blended together against a backdrop of
fairytale like scenery. We’ll have included a guided tour of London that will take us from the hustle and bustle of Leicester
Square at the heart of London’s theatre district to the quiet parks and the
grandeur of Buckingham Palace. Then motor to Southampton, England
where we’ll board the Azamara Journey. The second largest of the Channel
Islands, Guernsey, offers breathtaking scenery and a peaceful, unspoiled
ambience. St. Peter Port , the island’s capital, is a bustling harbor
town with rows of brightly painted houses, and terraced gardens. Isles of
Scilly is to many the most attractive of the islands. Walk from the beach, along pretty, traffic free lanes to
the Abbey Garden, built around the ruins of a 12th-century abbey.
Whether you're walking the medieval streets of Dublin, touring the Castle, or enjoying a pint at Keating's Pub,
you're almost certain to be introduced to the famous charm and wit of the Irish. Holyhead and Anglesey are your gateway to
Wales, a land with a strong and proud Celtic tradition and with some of the most beautiful countryside in
the British Isles. Sail to the Isle of Skye and . Kirkwall, a Viking town that was founded around 1035.
The original town is one of the best preserved examples of
an ancient Norse town. Welcome to Invergordon, your gateway to Loch Ness and that area of the Highlands known as the "Great
Glen." Legend insists that the celebrated Loch Ness Monster inhabits
a cave beneath the picturesque ruins of Urquehart Castle. If ever there were a town made for
walking, it would be Scotland's capital - Edinburgh. Renowned as
one of Europe's most attractive cities, Edinburgh's Old Town and
New Town are a Marvelous mixture of elegant streets, charming squares and quaint alleyways. A visit to Amsterdam will have you thinking of tulips and wooden shoes, perhaps Heineken
beer, and some of the city's past inhabitants: Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and Anne Frank, who wrote her
famous diary hidden in a canal-side house.
