Come experience Cajun Country’s proudest tradition…music, food, and love of good times. We’ll explore the culture and customs of Acadiana by visiting the small Louisiana Bayou communities. Travel south to Lafayette deep in the heart of Cajun Country. At Carnival time Mardi Gras mystery joins with Cajun magic to create a once in a lifetime experience. Lafayette and Houma-Terrebonne’s carnivals let the good times roll with parades, parties, dancing and more, all in a safe, fun, family atmosphere. We definitely do not go near New Orleans! We enjoy the local customs of small Bayou Communities such as Le Courir du Mardi Gras in Church Point that make Mardi Gras in Cajun Country so unique. Just a few of the other highlights include: Houma-Terrebonne, also known as “the Venice of America;” watch the Houma Mardi Gras Parade and take a Cajun Man’s Swamp Cruise. At Frogmore Plantation in Vidalia Louisiana take a journey of the South through song. Sit in a rare 1800's plantation church and listen to outstanding vocalists and superior historical narration that relates the trials and triumphs of life on a plantation. A short drive takes you to the Delta Music Museum, which highlights favorite sons Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Gilley, Aaron Neville, Conway Twitty, Percy Sledge and other Delta musicians. Then travel the Delta Blues Trail to Memphis TN. Your Memphis city tour includes all the major sights, including Beale Street, Sun Studio, the Lorraine Motel, movie locations and more.
