McKinzie Tours invites you to join us on our Grandparent Grandchild Tour to St. Louis, MO. We are sure that the special moments you share with them on this fun-filled trip will create memories that will last a lifetime.


Nestled along the Missouri River in the center of the US discover Omaha’s unique blend of adventure which is sure to keep kids of all ages and the young at heart having a rip roaring good time. Visit the world class Omaha Zoo. Imagine walking over a swinging bridge in the longest indoor rain forest in the world, hear waterfalls crashing, explore Hubbard Gorilla Valley were the gorilla’s roam free and the visitors are on display. A new exhibit, Pachyderm Hill, is now home to white rhino’s. Your ticket will include the Lozier IMAX Theater, the Skyfari, the Railroad, the Tram, and Sue’s Wildlife Carousal. Dinner tonight is sure to be a memorable event for kids and grandparents alike at the “Amazing Pizza Machine.” Over 100+ items buffet with everything from fried chicken dinners to pizza’s galore and everything in between. Then let the fun begin! The child’s admission ticket includes credit points which can be used at everything from Bumper Cars, Amazing Arcade, rides and attractions for kids of all ages. Check into your luxury hotel, the lovely Omaha Marriott. We’ll get you in early to enjoy the indoor-outdoor pool and patio. How about something interesting to those of all ages: veteran beekeeper, Everett Smith, will present “To Bee or Not to Bee,” a presentation on how honey is made complete with the bees and delicious honey samples. Next on the Old Market District complete with a large Farmers’ Market which on Saturday has all kinds of venders. The district has a multitude of arts, shopping and restaurants including Spaghetti Works, a favorite family restaurant, time to explore and have lunch on your own. Be sure to include Hollywood Candy – it is all about fun and nostalgia. The store is decorated in the themes of old time pharmacies, mercantiles, and general stores of the past. You will feel like you have stepped through a door into a bygone era. Don’t miss the boat! We’re off for a Paddle Wheel Cruise on the Missouri River. A great mixture of fun and learning as the guide tells you about the river legends and lore. We're homeward bound with a stop in route at Nebraska City’s Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure. Climb a tree house 50 feet high with an incredible bird’s eye view of life in the forest. (Gradual steps and lots of landings make this a great adventure for grandparents too.) Watch the fun unfold and climb aboard the Discovery Ride for a journey deep into the forest through orchards and vineyards and over streambeds. Top it off with a light picnic dinner in the Pie Garden before heading home.
