The captain will show you the different types of sponge as he explains how they are best used, and a diver in a traditional suit will demonstrate how sponge are retrieved and prepared for marketing. This colorful little village features shops, restaurants and café’s, many owned by the same Greek families who established them in the early 1900’s.
