Travel to the shores of Lake Huron where you board a ferry for the short crossing to Mackinac Island. From the moment you step off the Mackinac Island Ferry, you feel the difference. The stunning Victorian architecture, abundance of horse-drawn carriages and majestic views all combine to make Mackinac Island a destination unlike any other. Spend the next two nights at the lovely Island House Hotel on the waterfront. Take a horse-drawn carriage tour of the Island. Wind your way up scenic bluffs and past charming Victorian homes to the majestic Grand Hotel - the crown jewel of Mackinac Island. After feasting on the Grand’s sumptuous luncheon buffet, take a stroll through the hotel’s beautifully landscaped gardens, or take in the view from its 660-foot-long front porch that overlooks the Straits of Mackinaw. Visit Tahquamenon Falls, the 2nd largest waterfall east of the Mississippi River.
