Climb aboard our “Mojo and Gumbo” bus headed to the deep south for this musical journey. Travel to Memphis, TN and check into your hotel for a two night stay. Spend a full day exploring Memphis, home of the blues and the birthplace of Rock & Roll. Visit the Sun Recording Studio and the Rock N Soul Museum. See the March of the Peabody Ducks, and enjoy a tour of the Graceland Mansion, home of Elvis. Presley. Free time to explore Beale Street before dinner at The Blues City Café. Drive to Natchez, MS, located of the banks of the Mississippi where you’ll spend two nights. Begin your stay in this charming city with a visit to one of the stately antebellum homes. Dinner tonight is at the Cock of the Walk Restaurant. Enjoy a tour of Natchez, with her magnificent antebellum homes and fascinating history, Natchez is a unique blend of charm, grace, romance, and mystery. Get your “MoJo” going as you discover "Music, Mystery & Marriage" It begins at Stanton Hall, a grand Natchez town home. Meet the bride-to-be and help her finalize her plans for an elite, antebellum wedding. Then travel to Frogmore Plantation to experience a journey of the South through song. Seated in a rare 1800's plantation church, visitors listen to the mistress of Frogmore and two outstanding vocalists narrate and sing the trials and triumphs of life on a plantation. The singing and narrations continue through the furnished cabins in the quarters. You’ll participate in a slave wedding and parade "cakewalk" style to the plantation store for refreshments. Visit the Louisiana Delta Music Museum and hear stories about Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Gilley, Aaron Neville, Conway Twitty, Percy Sledge and other Delta musicians. Leaving Natchez travel north to Vicksburg where you’ll hear stories of events during the Civil War. Next you roll into Clarksdale, MS for lunch at Ground Zero, the juke joint owned by actor Morgan Freeman. Across the street you will find the Delta Blues Museum dedicated to exploring the history and heritage of the unique American musical art form known as The Bues. Returning to Memphis area check-in at the Drury Inn, where you enjoy the 5:30 Kickback with free food and drinks before leaving for your evening Mo Jo Tour The Home of the Blues comes alive aboard Memphis' only music bus.
